1967 Camaro Fisher Body Plate (trim tag) General Information

  • 1967 was the only year group option codes appeared on Camaro trim tags.

  • Indications are the body numbers are sequential for the particular series/model per plant.

  • Fisher Body style numbers did not mean the same thing as the Chevrolet series/model number portion of the vehicle identification number (VIN). Where the third digit of the VIN (3 or 4) indicated an L-6 or V-8 engine, the third digit of the Fisher Body style number indicated standard (4) or custom (6) interior trim level.

    • Assembly month padded with leading zero where applicable.
    • Scheduled assembly date of the month and that day's sequence is depicted by a letter and a 3-digit number.
    • Style numbers were 124x7 and 126x7 for standard and custom interior.
    • Dash character between LOS designation and body number only when body number is 5 digits or more.
    • Trim codes include "-Z" or "-Y" for bucket seats without and with headrests and "-H" or "-T" for bench seats without and with headrests.
    • Includes dash character (-) between upper and lower paint codes.
    • Includes group option codes.

  • NOR ~ Norwood, Ohio

    • Single letter in upper right corner is interior paint color.
    • Style numbers were 124xx and 126xx for standard and custom interior.
    • No dash between NOR designation and body number.

    • Includes dash character (-) between upper and lower paint codes.
    • Includes group option codes.
